SeesTrees is an open source Visual Studio Code extension that exclusively aims to provide a synesthetic visualization of project hierarchies. Instantly understand your project's structure at a glance with visually enhanced, color-coded, and emoji-rich tree views.

The extension offers:

  • Color-coded and emoji-rich blueprint, modular to the given directory ran, and (if any) **kwargs
  • Absolute products of laziness:
    • Automatic file type recognition (Python, JS, configs, docs, images, etc.)
    • Built-in filtering to ignore common clutter (.git, node_modules, build artifacts)
    • Terminal command for displaying colorful directory trees with connector lines
    • Command palette integration
